This is what happens when an artist/graphic designer becomes obsessed with everything chiles and reinvents them into famous artworks and movie posters … you get Chiles Meet The Masters and Chiles Meet The Movies series.
For the month of October, Mr.D is highlighting sci-fi and scary movies. This week’s chile art is looking for a warm meal, Chiles Meet The Movies, Night of The Living Chile!
Monday Chile Art has been running on the SWD Facebook page for almost a year now. Check in every Monday for more here at Southwest Discovered!

The craft: First I look for a poster where I think a chile would fit the motif, and it amuses me. Using Photoshop CS6 on an iMac, I begin masking over the original poster. If the end result makes Amy laugh, that tells me my chile work is done! —Mr.D

I am loving your October scary chiles. Great ideas for renting movies this month. Thanks!
Marie, thanks and stay tuned … more thrillers to come! 🙂
It just would not be Halloween in the southwest without zombie chiles. Nice one!
Doc, thank you. Just remember to keep you head and protect your brain.
This. Is. So. Good. Bwahaha!
Ally, check back next Monday because “They will be heeeeeeere.”
Mr.D does it again! Booooooo-tiful job!
Ben: “I’m telling you they can’t get IN here!”
Harry Cooper: “And I’m telling you they turned over our car! We were damn lucky to get away at all! Now you’re telling me these chiles can’t get through a lousy pile of wood?”
Shannon & Drew, wow you really know your movies. Nothing to fear with this one, just get out your blender and make zombie chile salsa.
