Ken and Sue’s restaurant is a Durango gem. A favorite spot for special occasions … anniversaries, birthdays and New Year’s.
Actually, we’re there all year ’round for their fresh contemporary American cuisine. I love the Cilantro Crusted Halibut and I’ll bet you a Colorado quarter that Mr.D will order the Maple-Mustard Glazed NY Strip with Giant Onion Ring. And then there’s the tuna … or the planked salmon … oh it’s all so good!
Lots of folks around here must feel the same because they’re more often than not voted Best Restaurant in Durango and tops the Tripadvisor list. Lots of ‘Best Ofs.’
We’ve made a tradition of dining there for New Year’s, so we stopped by yesterday for a sneak peek at their holiday cocktail …
Because they’re known for seasonal infused cocktails.
Meet the Cranberry MojitoTini …
… a fresh lime and cranberry infused Barcardi Limon rum with mint simple syrup, splash of soda and cranberry juice with crushed mint.
They gave us the recipe to share with you because that’s how it is at Ken and Sue’s … a great bunch of friendly people who always make you feel welcome.
If you’re looking for a light, not too sweet drink that looks like a holiday party in a martini glass to ring in the New Year and warm your toes, this is a winner.
Wishing you a Happy Bubbly Sparkly New Year of following your dreams, peace and optimism, and that 2016 be filled with experiences that you will forever look back on with wonderful warm memories.
